We help Auburndale homeowners with burners that will not ignite reliably, controls that do not respond and induction zones that stop recognizing cookware. Describe whether the appliance is a countertop cooktop or a rangetop with front controls so the appointment matches the equipment.

One cooking position or the entire surface?

Start by identifying which burner or zone is affected. A single position behaving differently from the others is useful information; a completely unresponsive surface leads to different checks. Record any symbols or messages before turning the controls off.

For induction, note whether the behavior changes with cookware that normally works on another zone. Pan compatibility, size and placement matter, but a recognized pan does not rule out an appliance fault. Do not buy replacement cookware solely because one zone has stopped responding.

Continuous clicking deserves context

On a gas surface, tell us whether clicking happens before ignition, continues during use or begins while all controls are off. If the problem followed a spill or cleaning, report that timing. Do not remove ignition components or apply heat to dry the internal assembly.

Turn the controls off if operation is unreliable. If you notice gas odor, leave the area and contact the gas utility or emergency services from a safe place. Electrical switches and repeated lighting attempts are not appropriate ways to investigate a suspected leak.

Cracks, spills and touch controls

Stop using an induction or glass cooking surface if it is cracked. Liquid and damaged glass require a different response from an ordinary control lock. Explain whether the surface is damaged, the panel is blank or the controls are showing a message.

Use only the external care procedure in the owner guide. Abrasive tools and liquid sprayed into controls can create additional damage. A photograph of the surface and control layout helps establish which Wolf product is installed without requiring you to lift it out of the counter.

Service access below the countertop

Cabinets, drawers and the location of the electrical or gas connection affect access. Tell us if there is a drawer immediately below the cooktop, an oven underneath or little room behind the cabinetry. Leave removal of the cooking surface to the technician.

The diagnosis may consider ignition, controls, zone operation, sensing and supply, depending on the product. We charge $150 for the standard diagnostic visit and provide repair pricing after the cause is assessed. Call with the model, affected positions and any safety concern so we can discuss the next available visit.
